About
Hi, I’m Tim Rainer — the eye behind Days Adrift. I live in rural Western Australia with my wife, Jemma, our three wonderful children Indiana, Harper, and Chase, and our loyal dog, TJ.
Photography has long been a passion of mine and a welcome escape from the hustle and routine of everyday life. Wherever I go, I see compositions in the world around me, and through capturing them, I hope to share the beauty and wonder that often go unnoticed.
Days Adrift is more than a name, it’s a reflection of a state of being. To be “adrift” is to let go of the familiar paths and allow yourself to be carried by the moment, just as the tides carry a piece of driftwood or the wind moves across the sea. It speaks to slowing down, stepping away from the noise, and surrendering to the rhythm of the natural world.
For me, it embodies the essence of aerial photography—hovering above, detached from the ground, free to see the world from a new perspective. It’s about finding beauty in moments of calm and movement alike, and allowing the mind to wander with the coastline, the tides, and the endless horizon.
Days Adrift is an invitation—to drift with nature, to reconnect with the wild, and to rediscover the wonder in the landscapes that surround us.
